    Day 9 of Potty Training...

    Well lets just keep this short and say we had a few poopy accidents but I think that was because they weren't near their potties. They were upstairs playing and even though one of the potties was upstairs, the girls are very much into routine. Its kinda like we will have to train them to go in other places.

    Overall it was still a great day :-)!! We got big girls now!!

    Day 8 of Potty Training....

    One word... AWESOME!!! NO accidents.

    So after supper we brought the girls out to Walmart to see how things would go. NO accidents while we were out. The girls just seemed different too. Its hard to explain but they seem more like little independant girls now. Its beautiful to see.
    When we got home we decided to have a fire in the back yard and let the girls join us for their first "fire". They were VERY eager to help. Emma had no fear at all but Paige was a little fearful of the fire. They both really enjoyed themselves. After about an hour Paige actually asked to go inside. We think so she could go potty and go right to sleep. I mean it was a few hours past their bedtime.

    So today was great! I think it has finally "clicked".

    Day 7 of Potty Training....

    Emma had an accident around 1am.

    7:00am ~ Girls awake. Woke up dry. Both peed on the potty.

    8:40-8:55am ~ Both girls peed on the potty all by themselves. Emma pooped.
    **waiting on Paige now to go poop in the potty, but she just doesn't seem to want to do that. I guess one accomplishment at a time right ;-)**

    9:10am ~ I knew Paige HAD to go poop. She kept asking if she could have her panties (so she could poop in them) I wouldn't let her and kept telling her to go poop on the potty. Finally she ran to the potty room but pooped on the floor. I am still proud of her for recognizing that she should be near the potty. YAY!!! Now we just need to break the habit of her wanting to poop in her panties. I am thinking bare bum method *might* work better for her right now.

    10:00am ~ Emma & Paige both peed on the potty all by themselves :-)

    10:15am ~ I am just thrilled!!! Paige went to the potty room, closed the door and went poop all by herself. She didn't even care to come tell me, I could just smell something stinky LOL. Oh I am just SO excited... this is me jumping up and down again^^^^^^^^^.
    I really hope this is the beginning of them truly "getting" it.

    11:30pm ~ Emma & Paige both peed in the potty all by themselves.

    1pm ~ Emma & Paige both peed in the potty all by themselves. Emma peed about 10 minutes later too. This is a GREAT day!! NO accidents so far! :-)

    2pm ~ Both peed in the potty. They are suppose to be napping but it looks like that is not going to happen.

    4 -7pm ~ No accidents and Emma pooped in the potty all by herself!!!

    This was an AWESOME day!!.... besides the lack of nap. However they fell asleep at bedtime pretty quick.

    Day 6 of Potty Training.....

    6:20am ~ the girls woke up... that is TOOOO early for us to get up, lol. I had a brillant idea though. I brought the potty in their room so they could go pee. They peed instantly... by the way, they woke up dry, YAY!! I told them Mommy & Daddy still needed to sleep, I gave them some books and they were fine with that. What a relief.

    9:30am ~ Oh my, this is their second pee of the day. Gosh that was a long time in between pees. I continued to ask them and make them sit on the potty but they didn't need to go. This potty time was successful for both girls yet it was a "let's go to the potty room" success. Either way its good for me.

    10:20 ~ Emma was playing happily with her blocks, she got up and said she had to go potty. She took off her panties and peed all by herself. YAY!!! What a big girl she is.

    10:40 ~ Emma returned to playing and got up again and asked if she could close the door of the potty room. She closed the door and yelled "I DID IT"!!! She sure did. She went poop in the potty all by herself. I really hope you are all hearing the excitement and proudness in my voice. ^^^^^^^^^ thats me jumping up and down!!!! LOL

    10:45 ~ Paige went pee all by herself too... well with a smidgen of a reminder! YAY!!!!

    Forgot the time ~ Paige had an accident! Emma peed in the potty!

    1:10pm ~ Emma pooped in her pants and Paige went to the potty all by herself YAY!!!!!!!

    2:00pm (nap) ~ "Ok girls its time for night night, lets go pee in the potty", "OK Daddy"... 2 successful pees in less than 2 minutes. Off to bed.... not going so well, lol.

    3:45pm ~ first of all, no nap but they still stayed in their room and had "away time". There were no accidents in their room and when they came out they both peed in the potty.

    3:45-7:00pm ~ no accidents in this time period. Paige even went to the by herself again. Both Paige & Emma got to call Mommy at work and share their exciting news about peeing in the potty.

    7:00pm ~ off to bed!! The girls were yelling to Daddy that they had to go potty so he got them and they both came downstairs, peed, then went right to bed and fell asleep.

    ***SUCCESS*** :-) WHOOOO HOOO!!!!

    Emma also got to go out today to the store with Daddy since she was doing so well. She had no accidents while she was out!! Paige stayed home with Mommy and played hide & seek. Looked at pictures of animals and looked through the flyer, lol. We had a great time!!

    Day 5 of Potty Training....

    First of all Emma is doing AWESOME! She only had a few accidents and all the other times she went to the potty all by herself. This morning she even pooped in the potty all by herself.
    Paige on the other hand just doesn't care anymore. She has no problem going pee on the floor. We are struggling and don't know what path to take with her. We are just hoping she WANTS to do this soon. She is physically ready for this. She does wake up from her naps and in the morning dry which is awesome but I wish she would be more excited to be a big girl and go potty.

    Well its almost 8pm and the girls went to bed at 7pm. They are asleep. However they didn't nap today but that was because Paige kept trying to cuddle with Emma. I feel sad for both of them. Emma so despretly wants to sleep but Paige keeps bugging her. And Paige just really wants to cuddle but Emma doesn't want to . Its sweet!

    .... and the struggle... I mean journey (lol) continues ;-)

    Day 4 of Potty Training...

    Emma had a great day today but Paige seems to be reverting. Emma has gone to the potty all on her own but Paige just won't anymore.

    I am really stumped with how people say they trained their kid in 1-2 days. Honestly I just don't know how. The girls couldn't have been more ready. Paige stays dry during naps & bed and they can take off their clothes. Really I have been the one who has been putting off the training. I just want ONE thing to be easy with having twins. I don't want to be potty training for the next 6 months you know.
    Paige did great the first 2 days but now she has totally regressed. She barely goes to the potty. Emma on the other hand is doing fabulous. She will actually go all by herself and in 4 days she went poo 2x all by herself. I am so proud of her. I am worried that Paige is rebelling and because she isn't getting rewarded as much as Emma, she is in a I don't care mode.

    Really if you put the 2 of them together it would be perfect. Emma goes to the potty pretty much 90% of the time and Paige stays dry for nap/bed.

    Oh the toddler beds are going pretty well too. They have been settling before 9pm which I will fully admit I thought they wouldn't. We have allowed them to have books and they settle much faster.

    Day 3 of Potty Training...

    I wish I could say it was great. I can't. We had some success but lots of accidents. I was by myself in the morning and the girls just did not want to go potty for me today. The first 3 hours were not fun. I can truly say I hate this but I just keep reminding myself that it can't last forever, right?!

    Nap was non-exsistent today too :-( I know I just need to keep working on it but it just may come down to the girls being split up. I could hear Paige asking Emma to cuddle and telling her to wake up. This upsets Emma and then she doesn't sleep.

    Oh my, as I write this Emma was about to climb on the couch, she thought about it and got down and went pee all by herself! What a great way to end my day with them :-)!!

    Wish us more luck tomorrow, hopefully it will "click" soon!

    Day 2 of Potty Training....

    First of all the little princess' slept through the night in their big girl beds. Paige stayed dry all night but Emma had a little accident during the night at some point.

    So we got up this morning and we sat on the potty and had instant success.... the day started off well :-). However we had some accidents and some upset moments when one of us went pee and got a pee pee party and the other didn't.
    Things started to click a little for us because when Mommy & Daddy asked us if we needed to go potty it was a nice reminder for us to go. Today Emma went potty 7 times and Paige went 5 times.

    Emma even pooped in the potty. Mommy told me it was ok to poop in the potty and that I could go in the potty room and close the door. So I went poo poo. YAY!!!!

    So overall we think we are truly getting it. This is lots of fun but it is really exhausing.

    By 2pm we were SOOO tired. We asked to go for a nap and went right to sleep. I think Mommy & Daddy were tired too cause we heard them say they had a nap too.
    We weren't as good at bedtime though. We played for a few hours. Paige wanted to cuddle with Emma but she wanted her bed all to herself.

    Wish us luck for day 3.....

    So today was a VERY interesting day. Its the first day of Emma & Paige being BIG GIRLS!!! They started potty training AND moved into Big Girl Beds in a Big Girl Bedroom.


    We started the day out with some success and some accidents. As the day went on we got more successful. Mommy and Daddy decided that when we went pee pee in the potty we got a sticker and got to go up stairs and flush the pee pee (or poo poo) in the toilet. Oh the excitment!!!! And for the record we LOVE the stickers.
    Unfortunately there were no poo poos in the potty, but we are just getting the hang of this no diaper bit and overall we'd say it was a positive day.
    Mommy & Daddy also showed us our new room too! It is BEEEEEA-U-TI-FUL!!!! Its full of butterflies and some fairy princess'!!!! :-) We never did get to nap in it but at bedtime we were SOO exhausted from all the hard potty work we did and fell asleep right away.

    Here is a conversation I just had with the girls....

    Paige: I want to see a dinosaur
    Me: You want to see a dinosaur?
    Paige: Yes
    Me: You can't see a dinosaur because they are extinct, they don't live on the land anymore
    Paige: Es-stink?? (LOL) I want to see a polar bear
    Emma : I want to see a polar bear too
    Me: You want to see a polar bear?
    Paige & Emma: Yeah Yeah!!
    Me: Where do we go to see a polar?
    Emma: THE NORTH
    Me: the north?
    Paige: Yeah, the north
    Emma: the north pole

    OK so my children are geniuses... I have absolutely NOOOOOO idea why they know this. Who is sneaking into their room at night and telling them this stuff????

    Well things are getting interesting now. The last 2 nights the girls have woke up crying because they are scared. I finally was able to get out of Emma last night that she was afraid of "the bees". I honestly have no idea where this has come from. They keep saying that the bees hurt them. So because they are afraid of the bees this makes them afraid of the dark as well. So needless to say today I am trying my best to make bees be the cutest little animal ever.
    Its interesting to see their little minds be so creative even if it does come out in a nightmare. Poor little girls!!

    Today we went shopping for some new toys. The girls are just getting bored and we needed to change things up a bit. We decided to go to Scholars Choice to see if they had anything stimulating for 2.5 year olds. Well in the store they had a Thomas the Tank Engine table set up so kids could play at. Emma was busy doing a number puzzle and Paige was playing at the Thomas table. I was just sitting back watching my beautiful little girls play. Another little girl decided to join Paige at the Thomas table and play. Paige went up to her and said "Hi, my name is Sissy". LOL... it was so cute. I pulled her aside and told her that her name is Paige. So she went over to her and said "Hi, my name is Paige". I nearly started to cry, it was so beautiful. I don't know how she knew to introduce herself but I was so proud of her.

    Anyway just something I had to share :-)

    We just spent the last 10 days with our favorite American, Alisha. When we got up this morning she was gone :-( . We are so sad. Having Alisha here was awesome. We did lots of fun things. We went to the beach, The Forks, the Zoo, some playgrounds and did lots of shopping.

    The beach was SOO much fun. Emma was a little scared of the big open waters so she just stayed and played in the sand, making sand castle and collecting rocks. Paige enjoyed the water but preferred playing with a new little friend that she made.
    Alisha got a big beach ball that was lots of fun and some noodles that we will use later when we are used to the big open waters.

    The Forks was fun but tiring because of the shopping we did. There was also a silly man putting on a show and we thought he was quite funny. We left though because he was a little inappropriate for us. The best part was the little purse with accessories that Mommy bought us. There was some lipstick (fake of course) that looks so pretty on us and we use our new cell phone to talk to Mr. Sea Turtle & Mr.T-Rex.

    Of course the zoo was awesome too. We saw lots of animals. The monkeys were funny and it was so exciting to see the fish in the aquariums. The was even one that looked like Dory. We love fish. Oh and the turtle was great too. We really like aquatic animals. However we did wish that there were some dinosaurs at the zoo.

    We also spent some quality time with Daddy while Mommy & Alisha went out together. They got their pictures done together and you should see them. They are beee-u-ti-ful!!! Oh and you know what else they did.... they got tattoos. Mommy got a beautiful butterfly on her foot and Alisha got the same one on her back. Now they have to stay friends forever, which is fine by us because we love Alisha so much :)! Daddy let us get tattoos too. Emma got a rainbow & Paige got a sun on their foot. Don't worry Nanny they aren't real. ;-)

    The BEST part about Alisha visiting was that she babysat us for 2 evenings while Mommy & Daddy went to work. It was VERY special for us to spend some time alone with Alisha. She is the BEST. We had a great time and definitely made sure to get in as much hugs & kisses as we possibly could. Ten days really did go by way too fast.
    Oh Alisha got us the coolest little Disney Princess T-shirts from when she went to Florida and the most stylish sunglasses EVER. We look sooooo cool!!!

    Well the fun is over with Alisha for this summer. We can't wait until we see her again. Thanks so much for coming to visit us. We miss you so much already!! Hugs & Kisses.

    On a happy note, Daddy still has a week vacation left so hopefully we can get in some more fun activities, YAY!!
