HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY PAIGE & EMMA.

We decided not to have a big party this year and just keep it simple with family for another year. We had a great day with Mommy & Daddy. We got up and had a nice breakfast and then got cleaned up and took some pictures, you can check those out in our "4th Birthday" photo album. Around lunch time we had some cake that Daddy made. He made a lovely butterfly cake that was really yummy. Then we opened some presents. Nanny & Papa Vokey got us a wooden kitchen that we've been wanting for so long. Aunt Della knit us some food to go with our kitchen and Mommy and Daddy loaded us up with some kitchen supplies, like pots and pans and baking stuff. We also got a basketball hoop that we just could not wait for and insisted on playing some basketball in the house, lol. We got a doctor's kit and some Princess figurines.
For supper we went to Montana's. The waitress' even came and sang Happy Birthday to us, that was really exciting.
It was a long, but fun day and next year we look forward to the big party with all our friends when we turn FIVE!!

Christmas was busy this year but lots of fun. We went to the Valley on the 23rd. On Christmas Eve we spent the night at Nanny & Papa Vokey's and to our surprise Santa showed up at the house. Emma was a little scared at first but once Santa brought out the presents both of them were happy to see him. Santa brought what the girls requested. Paige...a new T-Rex and a new shark and Emma a New Crocodile and also a T-Rex even though she wanted a Brontosaurus, that came a little later though. By the end of the visit both girls were comfortable with Santa and even gave him a nice hug & kiss goodbye. ....psst.. Santa was Papa Vokey, he did a great job and the girls had no idea. ;-)
We got up Christmas morning and opened the presents, they were all so nice and so much fun. The girls really enjoyed it this year opening up everyone's presents. We stayed for lunch and then got ready to go to Nanny & Papa Laporte's. There were more presents over there to open and play with. Then for supper we went to Uncle Greg's and Aunt Linda's.
We were all exhausted at the end of the day.

On the 28th we came back home for the night, then packed up to go to New Brunswick for New Year's. On the 30th Aunt Tracy & Uncle Dave brought us sledding. It was SOOO much fun. We were suppose to go back on New Year's Day but it was way too cold. New Year's Eve was nice and relaxing, this year the girls didn't stay up because they had been so tired from being so busy.
On New year's Day we went to visit Tammy & Steve at her Mom's house. It was really nice to be able to visit with them.
We actually had to stay an extra day in New Brunswick because of a storm. NB actually got loads of snow while we were there. We even drove there in a storm.
Finally on Jan 3rd we came back home. It was nice to finally be back and get settled.

And now Christmas is all over. Paige is pretty upset about this, i think she had a great time.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

    Just a little update.

The girls are enjoying school and have made some friends. They can now count to 10 in French, they know their colors and say bonjour and au revoir to their teachers all the time.

Today was Halloween and the girls wanted to wear their normal dress up attire. They had a little trick or treat fest at school and when the girls got home they dumped out their bag full of goodies and wanted to give it to all the other children who were out trick or treating. Emma spent most of the evening handing out candy. Later she wanted to go see a house up the street that was all decorated so we got the girls dressed and they went out trick or treating to about 10 houses. When they got home they poured their candy in the bowl to hand out to the kids again, lol.
Finally it was bed time and they were very concerned that all the children were going to eat all the candy and feel sick. Too cute. We managed to get away with yet another Halloween with no candy issues. I made the girls popcorn as they handed out the candy and they were totally happy about that.

Paige & Emma FINALLY started French immersion Pre-school today. After month and months of them asking if they can go to school, their wish finally came true. They were very excited. The teachers said they did extremely well and were shocked that they have not been a part of a regular daycare setting. Of course they did have issues with sitting still for long periods of time. The teachers believe that is just age appropriate behavior and I think they just take after their Mama ;-)

Both girls were very sad to leave school and unfortunately didn't really understand that they will be going back three afternoons a week. Paige didn't handle leaving very well. She came home had a nap and when she woke up she asked if it was time to go to school again, poor thing.

But how exciting is this, I finally have little preschoolers!!!

Today Paige was pretending that she was finding baby spiders and bats in a cave (which is our bedroom apparently). When Rene came home from work she was all excited to show Daddy her baby spiders.

Paige: "Daddy, Daddy, look at the baby spiders Daddy. Look at the baby spiders in my LEFT hand."

    Daddy: "In your LEFT hand?"

Paige: "Yes, Daddy my LEFT hand."

Now seriously, how is a THREE year old able to distinguish her left and right? God only knows but some how Paige & Emma know their left from their right.

I wish that fairy that teaches them in their sleep would come make me as smart as them :-)!

Wow, it has been a long time since I have updated, sorry...

Over the last month we have been moving half way across the country and the girls did so well. They made up a "New Hotel" Song since we were staying in many hotels along the way. We also stopped and met some friends almost everyday. That was super exciting and made a long trip very enjoyable. The girls loved meeting all the kiddos as well.

The Girls have gone through a ton of changes over the last four months I don't know if I can remember them all. They love to pretend all the time which makes for some great entertainment. Right now Paige pretends to be Cinderella and Emma pretends to be Belle, it is so adorable, they even have their own little song. Emma sings "I'm BELLE" then Paige follows with "I'm Cinder-ELLAAAAA".. it really sticks in your head that's for sure. I have woken up many mornings chanting it myself while finishing it off with "I'm Mommyyyy".

They had their 3rd birthday on the road so we didn't get to do anything very special. But that morning we were with Alisha (the girl's Godmother) so it was special. Later that day they got to visit with Aunty Tracy and their Cousin Amanda and her baby Jordan. So though they didn't get to have a birthday party they did get to see some very special people.

Emma & Paige were also very excited to reunite with their grandparents and finally settle in their new house.
    __________________________________________________
The most important part of the trip was to make it home in time to see Great Nanny V.(Super Nanny). She was ill with liver Cancer and her last wish was to see Emma & Paige. She truly did hold on just for them. We visited with her on Sunday, April 1st and "Super Nanny" gave them some new dolls which Emma & Paige adored. The next morning Emma woke up and said to me, "Mommy, could you thank Super Nanny for my new baby?"... it melted my heart. Later that night (April 2nd) she passed away peacefully. Luckily her last wish was granted.

And along with that passing came more sad news for me. A wonderful online friend had lost her beautiful little girl, Abigail. She was a twin to Josh and they were born premature. Abbi struggled with heart problems but she was doing well at the time. She passed away unexpectedly. This news is just so heart breaking so please keep my friend Chris and her family in your thoughts & prayers.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS
    from EMMA & PAIGE

Wow, it's been a long time since I have updated. Time has just flown by and we've been having lots of fun.

Today the girls slept in and we got up and started opening presents. Definitely very different from last year. It was so nice. They really enjoyed everything that they got this year. The big present was a doll house. I wish you all could have been here after they opened it. They were busy and chatty before and instantly they became focused and quiet. Too cute. They love it. We got some games as well and they picked up on how to play instantly and REALLY enjoy it.
Its nap time now but then we are going over to a friend's house for dinner. So sweet of them to invite us since we don't have other family around.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season!!

Tonight was Halloween. It snowed here yesterday so Mommy & Daddy thought it would be too cold for us to go Trick or Treating outside. We went to the mall instead. We had lots of fun showing off our beautiful dresses and meeting lots of people. Everyone thought we were SOOO CUTE!! I think thats why they were putting treats on our bags.
It didn't take long for us to get tired though. Mommy and Daddy had to do some shopping in Sears so we decided to crawl in the bed that was made there just for us. We must be special.

***And... No the princess' did not have any Halloween treats. They were actually more excited about the stickers they got. We gave the Halloween treats away to Rene's fellow classmates***

We have to be the luckiest parents ever...

Every morning we are awaken by Emma serenading us with either the "Wonder Pets" song, "ABC's" or "Baa Baa Black Sheep".

What a great way to wake up in the morning. :-)
    It is adorable!

After 2.5 years Mommy & Daddy finally found a babysitter for us. You won't believe this.... a set of twins. We are super special that we have babysitters that come in a pair and they really look a like. Their names are Michelle & Melissa and we really like them.
Mommy & Daddy decided to take Phoebee, Howie & Melony to a Pug Party so Michelle & Melissa came over to babysit us. They came over for supper and even put us to bed. We had so much fun. We played ball and other games. Then Melissa read us a bedtime story and we went sleep with no problems. The only sad part was when we woke up the next morning and they were not here.
We can't wait until Mommy & Daddy decide to go out again.
